About Tabula Rasa Pilates:

In Latin, Tabula Rasa means "blank slate". Located in rural, picturesque Nipomo, CA, our unique, backyard, yurt Pilates studio is your chance to start anew! Whether you want to put an end to chronic back pain, strengthen your core, tighten and tone your whole body, gain flexibility, or improve balance, mobility and posture, our Pilates studio and instructors offer a variety of services to meet your individualized needs and help you achieve your unique wellness and fitness goals!

The studio is equipped with an abundance of classical Pilates equipment including six Reformers, six convertible towers/Cadillacs, six Stability Chairs, Spine Correctors and more!

We offer 35 minute and 50 minute Private (1:1) sessions for folks new to pilates, those wanting to rehabilitate their body after an injury, or those who want to achieve a specific goal and prefer to begin their practice with individualized attention.

For those who are not ready for classes but want to work out with a partner, we offer 35 minute and 50 minute Semi-private (2:1 or 3:1) sessions.

Pilates Classes are a popular option and fill up fast! Classes are capped at a maximum of six individuals. We currently offer the following 45-minute and 50-minute classes: Reformer, Restorative Flow, CORE Pilates, FUSION (combo of Reformer/ Chair/ Tower/ mat), Youth Pilates, P-HIIT (Pilates High Intensity Interval Training), WUNDAful Chair! and Tower/Mat Strength & Stretch. We would love to hear what you’re looking for/what works best for you, and are happy to adjust the schedule to meet demand.

We frequently get asked, “I’m new to Pilates, where do I begin?” Our FAQ section goes into greater detail about this, but don’t ever hesitate to reach out and talk about options, as everyone’s situation is unique. Please note that each exercise can be modified to be more or less challenging, to suit individual preference and to provide your body what it needs that particular day. You do not need to be flexible, nor do you need to be strong to take a pilates class, yet with each session, you will slowly begin to feel both.

So whether you are looking to slowly return to fitness, immediately address back pain, or want to take your body to the next level, Pilates is a wonderful "feel good" fitness option!
